Bacterial (COVID19) Control

HVAC Commercial Heating and AC

It is our mission to effectively contribute to the change of filtration, duct-work and UV lights so that you can provide your employees and customers with cutting edge bacterial (COVID19) control.

Keep your environment from MRSA, Staph, Strep, Cdiff and More…..”Turn On The Blue” Anti-Germicidal Lighting.

Is home and place of work safe from bacteria? “Turn On The Blue” is a safe and affordable anti-bacteria system that helps keeps your environment free from MRSA, Staph, Strep and more.

  1. Turning on the Blue will add another disinfecting solution to the mix and help keep your workers safe.
  2. Keeping the area clean and free of bacteria will help with fears from pregnant workers getting sick.
  3. Workmen’s Compensation Issues. Helps keeps personnel safe and on the job.

Research has proven advanced LED Blue Lighting kills a wide variety of bacteria and viruses.

  1. Medical Studies On Blue Bacteria Disinfecting Lights “It has been found that blue light can mediate a broad-spectrum antimicrobial effect…the wavelength range of 402–420 nm has been reported to be the most effective range of spectrum.”
  2. Bacteria Killing Blue light is affordable, easy to use, and achieves a high level of disinfection in a short period of time and can be used safely with or without passengers or crew in the area.
  3. The articles in an issue of Photomedicineand Laser Surgery provide evidence that blue light in the range of 405-470 nm wavelength is bactericidal and has the potential to help stem the ongoing pandemic of MRSA and other bacterial infections.” In this study it has been found that an average of 90.4% of both US-300 and (community acquired) and IS-853 (hospital acquired) strains of MRSA were killed within minutes of just simple blue light. This should be on national news.

Doctors have been working on Photobiomodulation for many years. One of the leading researchers is Dr. Chukuka Enwemeka he was listed among Who Is Who in Science and Engineering in recognition of his pioneering work, which demonstrated for the first time that red and near-infrared light emitted by lasers and monochromatic LEDs promote collagen polymerization and alignment. In other groundbreaking research work, Professor Enwemeka and his team pioneered the use of certain wavelengths of blue LED to kill the deadly Methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). He has authored more than 100 original research papers, monographs, a book as well as book chapters, and has secured millions of dollars in grant funding.

BUILDING AIR FLOW AND COVID-19

Viruses in Building HVAC Systems Related to Air Flow and Direction. Before people return to work amid COVID-19, special consideration should be given to air flow and direction. Ductwork spitting of return vents should be divided and relocated in order to keep the air of the individual as much as possible. Each return should have its own filter to capture bacteria. In a normal office or classroom you will have several supplies and only one or two returns causing air movement to work all in one direction adding exposure across individuals. Correcting current Ductwork and making modifications can help control the spread of Covid-19 in the workspace and in our schools. Relocating HVAC Supply & Returns as well as adding high efficiency filters will greatly improve air quality in the space.

From: Dr. Brad Eli, San Diego, CA

Understanding the need to create safe environment for Employees and Patients and reacting to the needs in the new environment is critical. My offices have gone through the transformation which ended up painless and cost effective.

First step was UVC and Blue Spectrum 440-LED installation in all my offices and patient rooms built into corner of ceiling for best angle for flat surfaces. There is 2 options to either set up automation through new Thermostat with lighting control from phone or twist timers for physical control in 15 min increments between patients.

Second program I opted for was realignment of A/C supply & return registers with each return register with its own MERV 14 filter. Aligned so that each space has specific air circulation and capturing of bacteria particles.

Placing in the waiting room a sign of how you addressed the issues was the final touch of information your patient needs.

Just the comfort it brings to an already stressed out Society and not to mention the legal ramification for doing nothing out weighs the cost for these changes.

The object to this exercise is to get clients back and retain them. Not to mention picking up new clients from other offices that have not showed the same effort.

Orange County Commercial HVAC Mechanical Contractor Company Works With Recycled Water Controls in Irvine

Orange County Commercial HVAC Mechanical Contractor Company, Ram Air Engineering is currently working on a recycled water controls project using Johnson Controls to manage this large water recycling facility under construction in the Irvine Ranch Water District.

Orange County Commercial HVAC Irvine Ranch Water District
With hardware in and programming starting remotely, this intricate water controls project will take approximately 40 hrs. of programming. Due to the complexity of the recycled water controls, it takes a highly skilled Irvine commercial HVAC contractor who understands mechanical systems and programming dynamics. This alone speaks to the level of skills and team of professional HVAC service technicians at Ram Air Engineering.

Since the groundwater in California is considered a non-renewable resource, it is just too valuable to be used once. Through the use of recycled water in Irvine:

  • Drinking water supplies are extended to more than 4,000 customers,
  • The need for additional potable water facilities is reduced,
  • The amount of treated wastewater discharged into the ocean is reduced,
  • The reliance on costly imported water supplies is reduced, and
  • Water supply reliability is increased.

The Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) in Orange County is a national leader in reclaimed water. Beginning in 1963, a forward-thinking Board of Directors implemented their vision to integrate water recycling into the overall design of the community of Irvine, Orange County. The goal was, and continues to be, to enhance water supply reliability through a comprehensive reclaimed water program. As a result, IRWD’s scope of services was expanded to include wastewater collection and treatment services for the purpose of producing reclaimed water and began delivering recycled water to its agricultural customers within four years of its initial commitment. Today, IRWD’s nationally recognized recycled water program encompasses a wide variety of uses such as landscape irrigation, industrial processes, and toilet flushing in commercial buildings.

Emergency HVAC Contractor Service Call at Galway Downs Equestrian Centre in Temecula, Riverside

A recent emergency HVAC contractor service call at Galway Downs Equestrian Centre in the beautiful rolling hills of Temecula Valley wine country, Riverside has resulted in happy horses and one very satisfied client.

When Eclipse Equine Sports Therapy Centre, out of Paso Robles, CA, called RAM’s emergency HVAC technicians to take a look at their first off-site cold salt water therapy spa for high-performance horses, it was discovered that their chiller had failed due to a bad glycol pump.  The 35° degree salt water relieves pain and inflammation from a horse’s lower limbs and promotes the repair of soft tissue damage.

Emergency HVAC service call at Galway Downs

With little time before a major horse show over the coming weekend, Ram’s skilled technician, Tim (Junior) Skeens, resolved to replace the entire chiller, rather than risk ordering a new pump part from the factory in Texas. After draining the glycol out of the old chiller, adding it to the new chiller, our qualified HVAC technician re-piped the saltwater loop into the new chiller and tied in the high voltage. After turning on the power, the chiller still did not come on. After further investigation, Junior discovered that one of the new chiller’s two glycol pumps seized. After swapping the pump from the old chiller, the new chiller’s pump began to run but still would not remain cold. After troubleshooting controls, it was found that the flow switch needed additional calibration and after further fine tuning, the new chiller fired up.

With four permanent, cold salt water therapy spas at their main facility, the new off-site therapy spas will be a great addition to major horse tracks in California for Eclipse Equine.

24-hour Emergency HVAC Services at Legoland

In the competitive southern California commercial HVAC market, it’s important to choose a reliable HVAC contractor that also provides 24-hour emergency HVAC services.

Aside from providing a full fan and shaft replacement on the unit, RAM’s professional technicians also had to set up tarps on the rooftop to manage the onset of rain that occurred mid-way through the job.

A great way to avoid the stress of requiring 24-hour Emergency HVAC Services is to contact a professional commercial HVAC service company to conduct preventative maintenance on your building’s HVAC systems. This will ensure your systems are running cleanly, safely and efficiently and RAM’s qualified HVAC technicians can monitor your systems to diagnose any potential problems and can to conduct any preventative HVAC repairs before they become critical.
